My Home in Spain

I decided that I am going to copy Lotte's idea and give some google map images of where I will be. Here it is:

I will be on the South of Spain right on the Medditeranean :)

My host family's house is the one with the pool!

This beach is about a 20 minute walk from my house.
Also, my plan is to run down this beach next year!

My school...

and lastly, my house from the front!

Maria

My host sister is so nice! I cannot wait to live with her and her family in Malaga. She told me a lot about the school systems (even though we will be going to two different schools) and she filled me in on lots of things i should know before I go there. The whole time all I kept on saying was how excited I was and how I could not wait. Because I just can't wait!

Her family sounds really laid back but still seem as though they are there for support too. They are a very religious family and I am not, but I think it will be a nice challenge, going to church in spanish.

She also told me that spanish people are very lazy. That made me laugh, because everyone thinks that americans are fat, but they complain and say we are really active too. She also said they dont have as many sport oppurtunities there as here, not even close. But I am a runner, so hopefully I will find a run while I am there to do. Maria also wants me to help her get more active as well.

I can already tell that Maria and I are going to get along very well while I am there. I cannot wait!

two more months <3

Host Family

I get to meet my host sister tomorrow! She has been in th US since September and we finally get to meet because luckily she lives in CT not too far from me! I am so excited to get to meet my family before I even get there.

I hope she is nice and that she likes me. I also hope that she can fill me in on all that Spain stuff that I should know.

VISA...

its impossible. There are so many steps and things that you have to do for it.
I really should be studying for my last two exams tomorrow, World Civ. and Spanish...which I guess could be helpful in Spain. But I got distracted by my 5 page visa application.

So far for my student visa for Spain, I've had to get fingerprinted, an FBI backround check, school letters, doctors statements, etc. It is so much preparation. But, it is definitly worth once I get there.

I have seen a lot of other kids decided not to go to Spain because of the Visa process, I dont blame them at all.
